Supreme Petroleum Council

Established in 1988, the Abu Dhabi Supreme Petroleum Council is responsible for setting and regulating all of the United Arab Emirates’ petroleum related policies, objectives and activities. The Council also functions as the ADNOC Board of Directors, and is responsible for the business strategy and financial performance.

Chaired by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, the Council comprises a group of prominent individuals, including ADNOC’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber. The full list of council members is as follows:
