The expert seminar focused on advancing operational efficiency, resource optimization, and cost-effectiveness in the regional drilling industry. It was attended by more than 200 professionals from the oil and gas wells drilling sector.

ADNOC Drilling Chief Executive Officer Abdalla Saeed Al Suwaidi said that hosting this specialized seminar, for the 13th year in a row, reflects ADNOC’s leading role in supporting collaboration among industry players in the region and contributes to the advancement and growth of the international energy sector.

Al Suwaidi said: “Based upon ADNOC’s 2030 smart growth strategy to deliver a more profitable upstream, ADNOC Drilling proactively responds to market changes and drives performance while optimising costs and ensuring a continued focus on HSE. To share and discuss our transformative journey, with the wider drilling industry, we decided for this strategic seminar to focus on operational efficiency, as the foundation of excellence.

Opportunities to raise efficiencies, increase productivity, and heighten cost effectiveness have a direct impact on upstream project costs, making the expert exchange of knowledge and experience a particularly valuable way to identify industry best practices and progressive approaches to wells’ drilling.”

The seminar has been organized annually by ADNOC Drilling since 2005, in cooperation with the international accredited classification society DNVGL, to share best practices, and stay updated on the latest industry developments, needs and challenges. This annual event is attended by UAE, GCC, and international oil and gas drilling companies, classification societies, operating companies, rig builders, oilfield service providers, and marine and offshore firms.

ADNOC Drilling is the largest drilling company in the Middle East. In the last seven years, it has expanded its rig fleet three-fold to 94 rigs. Al Suwaidi said maintaining one of the most modern and young rig fleets in the world has positioned ADNOC Drilling for future success, as one of the most efficient and successful drilling contractors in the oil and gas industry.
