We are the largest offshore oil and gas producer in the UAE and are responsible for the development, production, and delivery of oil and gas resources. We have been producing oil for the UAE since 1962; our products include crude oil, raw gas, and condensate at eight established fields, which comprise five supercomplexes and six artificial islands.
We are also among the world’s largest oil and gas producers with an output capacity of more than 1.6 million barrels of oil per day (bpd) and 3.0 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day (scfpd). By the end of 2020, our production capacity will be around 2 million barrels of oil per day and 2.2 billion cubic feet of gas per day.
We were formed from two ADNOC upstream oil and gas companies: Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) and Zakum Development Company (ZADCO). Through our partnerships with several global energy players, we bring over 50 years of oil and gas exploration, development, and production expertise to the industry. Our strategic partnerships with CEPSA, OMV, CNPC, ENI, ExxonMobil, ONGC/Falcon, INPEX/JODCO, and TOTAL have enabled us to unlock greater value, optimize costs, and extract maximum value from our resources and infrastructure.
Our commitment to environmental stewardship remains a priority. In 2009, we built two artificial reefs to encourage biodiversity on Zirku Island. As a result of our two-year conservation efforts, 99% of the corals continue to thrive. On Das, Arzanah, and Zirku Islands, we have planted 10,000 mangrove saplings, 594 palm trees, and 30 Ghaf trees.
