You should familiarize yourself with the terms and conditions before you start.
Applications will be assessed on a number of factors. These include how innovative the technology is, how applicable it is to ADNOC and to the UAE, the amount of sulfur it utilizes and the environmental impact of the technology.
Your submission will be assessed by a selected panel of technical experts from ADNOC and its partners.
The assessors will score your answers to questions 1 to 6 and questions 8 to 14; question 7 will be unscored. You must answer all questions. Do not include any website addresses (URLs) or the ‘&’ sign in your answers.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- apply as a company
- have a technology which can be deployed at industrial scale
- have a technology which when deployed will consume sulfur, where this technology is Technology Readiness Level (TRL) level 3 to level 7 inclusive
- own the intellectual property (IP) to the technology concerned
Questions

What differentiates your technology from existing technologies on the market?
6) Environmental & Net Zero Impact
Please describe the environmental impact of your technology.
7) Greenhouse Gas Impact Potential of Technology
Please provide the potential CO2e (carbon dioxide equivalent) reductions this technology would deliver to support Net Zero by 2050 goals in a trial, and also as it scales up.
Please describe your calculations or methodology to estimate the reductions.
Note: this question is mandatory but will not be scored.
8) Sulfur Utilization Potential of Technology
Please estimate the amount of sulfur that your technology would utilize during trials and as you scale up.
Please describe your calculations and methodology.
9) Potential Field Trial of Technology
From where you are today, what steps will be needed to trial your technology in the UAE? What would conducting a field trial or your technology involve?
10) Climate Compatibility
The successful technology will be incubated in ADRIC (ADNOC Research & Innovation Center) to mature the TRL for future field trials within the UAE. Please familiarise yourself with the climate conditions within the Middle East (temperature, humidity, freshwater access, off-grid locations, urban density, etc.) to ensure the compatibility of your proposed technology.
11) Demo/Trial/Pilot Experience
Has this technology been tested, trialled or piloted before? If so, please provide details of previous demos, field trials or pilots undertaken.
12) Commercial Impact
Tell us about the global addressable market size for your technology today and the opportunity your technology has. Tell us also about your future customers – which industry segments will you target, which geographies, etc. Tell us about the UAE addressable market size for your technology today and the opportunity your technology has.
